Meet Jamillah Elvehoey, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Founder and Lead Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Jamillah Elvehoey is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a deep passion for supporting adolescents and young adults through life's challenges. With 20 years of clinical experience, a patient-first philosophy, and the lived perspective she carries as a Black woman in psychiatric medicine, she blends medical expertise with empathy to create a safe space where every young person and family feels genuinely seen, understood, and supported.

Jamillah's approach is collaborative, partnering with patients and families of every background to design care plans that fit each person's lifestyle, strengths, and goals. Whether it's managing ADHD, easing anxiety, or treating depression, her commitment is to walk alongside patients every step of the way, building the kind of trust that comes from truly being seen, especially for families who haven't always felt that in healthcare settings.

A Note from Jamillah

"Opening Jayte Mindful Psychiatry is more than a professional milestone — it's a calling. My goal is to create a space where young people and their families feel genuinely supported, seen, and understood — no matter who they are or where they come from. No one should face mental health challenges alone."

"You are more than your diagnosis,
you are a whole, unique person."
